Apart from being an engineer, I enjoy traveling the world and learning to do new things that pique my interests.
I love to take photos, make music, and go on adventures. Some snipits of adventures can be found on instagram, feel free to check it out!
I also like to just create things for fun, trying out new technologies and tools to improve myself as an engineer and also grow my overall knowledge and skills. My current personal project is to learn to build a VR world from scratch and learn the 3D modeling to populate the world.
"I absolutely love working with Mark. He provides me with amazing learning opportunities. He guides me to the right solutions and teachers me without making me feel like I should know something, even when it is easyt for him."
"Mark Beck is a real rockstar for us. I've been working with Mark for just about two years now and he is always there to help. When it comes to all things security he is always willing to assist and make things better. He is constantly finding all of the inches everywhere around us."
"I don't think I've been able to stump Mark with a request on something I needed done - he always seems to know off the top of his head what he needs from me and what needs to be done on his end. In short, Mark is everything I've needed in Systems Engineer."
"Besides being a very capable engineer--endlessly energetic on helping solve problems--I think Mark is making steady progress on seeing the bigger picture and making strategically-minded decisions. He's helped steer many of the designs and vendor selections on Google Cloud Search/GCP projects, and virtually brought GCP into the fold (with all the technical hoop-jumping that required) at QL single-handedly. I've observed this strategic approach become more apparent in the past year, with Mark taking proactive moves in researching beneficial products, training, and working with Google to get us better service and solutions for the business."
"Mark is very hel;pful and very quick to respond. This is very appreciated as we like to shorten the handoffs. Once assigned Mark takes ownership very seriously and makes sure that he takes it to the next level."
